Premier urges unified stances to meet challenges

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed the need to unify stances as the existing challenges leave no room for differences. “In this phase, the focus should be on reinforcing the security and stability of the nation, defending the homeland against internal and external plotters, carrying on the economic development march and avoiding matters that do nothing but divide the nation,” he said, adding that “relations among Bahrainis are too strong to be affected. Differences of opinions do not rise to disputes, and everyone agrees on the national interests, and on the all-inclusive national home that is capable of bringing all together and unifying ranks.” HRH Premier made the statements while receiving the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Chancellor, Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari and some members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, in the presence of former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Dhahrani. Reviewing national issues, especially those relating to the development of the services provided for the citizens, the Prime Minister underlined the government’s keenness to improve the quality of those services, particularly in villages. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed his personal keenness on following up closely on the implementation of government projects to ensure they meet the pre-set goals of providing comfort and well-being for the citizens. HRH Premier stressed the government’s desire to enhance its cooperation with the Council of Representatives to serve national interests. He reiterated all support to the Legislative Branch in order to be able to assume its legislative and monitoring role, noting that the current critical situation and its various challenges require focusing on national efforts towards achieving the interests of the nation and the citizens, and maintaining national security and stability. Turning to regional and global issues, the Prime Minister lauded the role played by sisterly Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in serving Islam and Muslims. He praised the great services Saudi Arabia provides for Haj pilgrims, calling on pilgrims to support those dedicated efforts.
