Preparations underway for fifth Legal Forum

Manama, Apr. 22 (BNA): The University of Bahrain (UoB) will host on Sunday a workshop titled "Women and Youth under the Law", held as part of the annual Legal Forum.
Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), will patronise the fifth annual Legal Forum on 3-5 May 2016.
Organised by the UoB’s College of Law, the forum will focus on the Bahraini women’s contributions to the legal and judicial fields in the modern state since the launch of the Royal reforms.
The forum is held as part of the event of the Bahraini Women's Day 2016, themed "Women in the legal and judicial fields" and aiming to highlight the Bahraini women's march in legal and judicial fields, and shed light on their success stories in this regard.
College of Law’s Dr. Mohamed Saud Alenaze said that the organisaing committee of the forum had prepared a package of specialised functions and workshops ahead of the event, including a series of workshop entitled "The Legal Professional Is Successful everywhere".
Among the accompanying events is a forum on the Women’s Support and Information Centre at the Supreme Council for Women to raise the students’ awareness about the services provided by the SCW to support Bahraini women, protect them, strengthen their role and empower them in all fields.
Dr. Wafa Yaqoob Janahi said that a number of discussion panels titled "She, and the Law" will be held. They will provide an opportunity for specialists to discuss a number of issues related to Bahraini women.
Model parliamentary sessions will also be held with the participation of youth from legal colleges in the kingdom. They will discuss issues related to women and children in Bahrain.
