President calls on creative organizations to actively participate in country’s life

Bishkek, Dec.5, 2019. /Kabar/. Wednesday, at a meeting with representatives of the creative intelligentsia at the National Academy of "Manas" and Chyngyz Aitmatov, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov called on creative unions to actively participate in the life of the country and society, to strengthen harmony, unity and statehood. The President stressed this year, for the first time in the history of the country's independence, the creative unions will receive grant support. He noted the need to activate the work of the creative organizations. "These organizations have a rich history and at the time were led by great personalities. More than 80 years have passed since they were established, they are an integral part of the national culture,” he stressed. The Kyrgyz President noted that creative organizations will continue to be supported and assisted by the state. The Day of Manas Epic is annually celebrated in Kyrgyzstan on Dec.4. Yesterday, on the occasion of this holiday, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the National Academy of “Manas” and Chyngyz Aitmatov in Bishkek. The Academy also served as a platform for communication between the President and representatives of the creative intelligentsia, writers, poets and manaschi (narrators of the Manas epic).
