President Jeenbekov chairs meeting of Security Council

Bishkek, March 31, 2020./Kabar/. A meeting of Kyrgyzstan's Security Council is being held today under the chairmanship of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov. The meeting is held with the participation of heads of state bodies, the Kyrgyz President's press service said on Tuesday. The issue of strengthening measures, aimed at preventing further spread of coronavirus infection and food security of the country is being considered at today's meeting. Information of head of the Operational Headquarters - first deputy PM of the country about the work carried out to prevent further spread of coronavirus infection and measures taken to ensure food security is being heard. To date, 94 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the republic. Of these, 49 cases were registered in Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, 33 in Osh Oblast, 7 in the capital city of Bishkek, 3 in Chui Oblast, 1 in Batken Oblast and 1 in Naryn Oblast. From March 25 to April 15, a state of emergency is in force in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and in Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast. Movement for all citizens, except for those who are issued with a pass, namely internal affairs officers and medical and civil servants, is limited between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (night time). A curfew is established.
