President Kim Il Sung Remembered Abroad

Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- There took place memorial meetings in Myanmar, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Equatorial Guinea, Venezuela and Peru from July 4 to 8 on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. Speeches were made at the meetings attended by personages of political parties, organizations and institutions and masses. The chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan said that the world progressives are recollecting with deep emotion the revolutionary life of the President who performed the immortal exploits on behalf of the times and history with his distinguished ideas and theories and through his gigantic revolutionary practice. The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association praised Kim Il Sung as the outstanding leader of the 20th century, noting that he defended the destiny of the country and nation by leading the war against the imperialists' aggression to victory and built the DPRK into a developed socialist industrialized state in a short period after removing the war debris. The chairperson of the Libya-DPRK Friendship Association and the secretary general of the Sunbula International Friendship Club of Libya said that the President is the founder of socialist Korea and tender-hearted father of the Korean people and that his exploits for the cause of independence against imperialism would be kept deep in the minds of all people. The chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association and the head of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute highly praised the President as the greatest man and the peerlessly great sage who provided the guidelines for the era of independence and illuminated the road ahead of the world socialist movement. A message to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted at the memorial meeting in Denmark. -0-
