President receives new EEC Board chairman

Bishkek, Feb.4, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Feb.4 President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Board Mikhail Myasnikovich, his press service said. Jeenbekov congratulated Myasnikovich on assuming the post of EEC Board Chairman, and expressed confidence the Commission under his leadership will continue the development of the chosen economic vector of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He particularly emphasized the EAEU has been and remains a priority area in Kyrgyzstan's foreign economic policy. The Kyrgyz leader expressed readiness for further development of productive and fruitful cooperation with the countries of the Union, as well as expansion and deepening of integration processes in the Eurasian space. Sooronbay Jeenbekov wished the EEC Board chairman success in implementing his plans for the near future. Mikhail Myasnikovich expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz President for the meeting. He spoke about the priorities of the Commission for the consistent removal of barriers, exceptions and limitations, as well as the expansion of trade and economic cooperation within the Union. He noted the growing interest of third countries to the EAEU. Mikhail Myasnikovich assured that in his activity he will be guided by the interests of all EAEU member countries. At the invitation of Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, new Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich has arrived on Tuesday in Bishkek for his first official foreign visit.
