President Yudhoyono Prays For Jabotabek Orphans

Jakarta, July 22 (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has prayed for more than 5,000 orphans in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) so that they would succeed in the future. In the company of First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, the head of state raised his prayer for the orphans who attended a fast-breaking gathering with him at the Jakarta International Expo on Sunday. "May they be the wise and virtuous sons and daughters of the nation, to succeed in the future, and be good to their parents and their neighbors. This is the prayer of the president and the first lady," President Yudhoyono said before the orphans. The fast-breaking dinner with the orphans from Jabodetabek was part of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina`s gratitude over its inclusion into 500 best companies around the world as featured on Fortune Global list in which Pertamina ranked 122nd. President Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono arrived at the Jakarta International Expo at 5 p.m. local time when they were greeted with the singing of shalawat, chanted by around 5,000 orphans from 75 foundations in and around Jakarta. On the occasion, On the occasion, Pertamina President Director Karen Agustiawan also handed over packages of assistance from the company to the orphans. Also present at the event were a number of cabinet ministers, including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Industry Minister MS Hidayat, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.
