Prince Andrew presented with calligraphic paintings

Manama, Apr. 7 (BNA): President of the Jafari Endowments Council Shaikh Mohsin Al Asfoor presented today Prince Andrew, Duke of York, with calligraphic paintings, including the Holy Hadiths (sayings) of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) that affirm tolerance and peaceful co-existence among all social components and reflects the peaceful nature of the Islamic religion. This came during the visit of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, to the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Co-existence at Isa Cultural Centre, in the presence of the centre’s Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and members. Present were also member of the Jafari Endowments Council Dr. Abdul Hussain Al Diri and Acting Director Ali Mirza. Al Asfoor affirmed Bahrain’s elevated status despite its small geographic area, pointing out its standing as the cradle and land of different civilisations. He noted that the kingdom will always remain the land of tolerance and co-existence, pointing out that humanitarian values and noble principles shall ever remain the common denominator of peaceful co-existence and harmony between all social components. The Jafari Endowments Directorate held an art exhibition for the artists Salman Akbar and Hassan Al Haidar including the Holy Hadiths that underscore co-existence and peace between peoples and civlisations.
