Promoting cooperation with European parliaments emphasized

Manama, Feb 21 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla stressed the importance of intensifying parliamentary cooperation with European delegations to accentuate the national achievements in light of the royal reforms and democratic march taking place in various areas. This came as Speaker today received a parliamentary delegation visiting the country to meet with Bahraini officials, among of them heads of National Institution for Human Rights and Ombudsman Office. The Speaker underlined keenness to further learn about leading European parliaments' experiences and broadening cooperation with international parliamentary councils. First Deputy Speaker Ali Al-Aradi took the delegation around the Parliaments' departments and gave an overview of the parliamentary committees' nature of work and capacities.
