Manama, Apr 11 (BNA): Bahrain’s Advocate General Haroon Al Zayani has announced that the appeal hearing of the secretary general of one of Bahrain’s political societies resumed today with witness testimony and evidence presented to the court by the public prosecution and the defendant’s legal team. The defendant’s appeal hearing relates to past convictions of inciting non-compliance with the law, publicly inciting hatred – an act which had disturbed public peace – and insulting a statutory body. The defendant has been present with his legal team throughout the appeal hearings and will continue to be afforded full legal rights. The next court hearing is scheduled for May 30.
