Qatar Charity Organizes Various Activities for Children with Disabilities in Several Countries Worldwide

Doha, December 12 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) organized an array of activities for hundreds of children with disabilities and their families in several countries around the world: Tunisia, Niger, Bosnia, and Yemen. These activities included cultural, educational, and entertainment activities.
The events coincided with the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which stresses the necessity of leaving no one behind and not excluding or ignoring this group to reach solutions that make their lives better and easier.
Qatar Charity works, through its efforts represented in social care and guarantees, to secure the human rights of all persons with disabilities, within the framework of the slogan raised by the United Nations this year to celebrate this day: innovation for the comprehensive development of disability.
Qatar Charity's celebrations of the International Day come in line with its "Make a Hero" campaign, which it launched for its sponsors of orphans, people with disabilities, and others, and coinciding with the Qatar World Cup 2022, within the framework of activating and mobilizing advocacy and support for children's rights.
In Niger, Qatar Charity's office in the capital, Niamey, celebrated the activities of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. About two hundred and seventy people participated in this event, including sponsored persons with disabilities, their families, and students. The event was attended by the mayor of Niamey, representatives of the Ministry of Child Protection and Women's Advancement, and figures from government institutions and eligibility in Niger.
This comes at a time when Qatar Charity is working to help orphans, families, and people with disabilities and aid them. Several sponsored persons, people with disabilities, and their parents thanked Qatar Charity, stressing the importance of this sponsorship in their daily lives, as it provided them with a decent life.
At the end of the event, gifts were presented to the outstanding students in the study with visual, hearing, and motor disabilities.
In addition, Qatar Charity office in Tunisia organized a mother and child demonstration to celebrate children with disabilities from the weak and poor groups, to bring joy to their souls and the souls of their mothers, highlight their rights stipulated in international conventions, and emphasize their integration into society.
During this celebration, mothers were introduced to the rights of children with disabilities, to create awareness among them of the importance of their children's rights, to demand them, and to apply them on the ground. (QNA)
