Qatar International Equestrian Festival Begins

Doha, February 23 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, HE Sheikh Thani bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated this afternoon the prestigious Qatar International Equestrian Festival (QIEF) organized by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) . The prestigious festival is packed with a busy schedule of activities amid participation of prominent horse riders, owners and breeders who compete in fair sport competitions from 23 February to March 1, 2012. The QIEF races will see prizes with a total value of QR 10.3 million in addition to 22 cars. (QNA)
