Qatar Media Center Launches First Training Courses for 2023

Doha, January 11 (QNA) - Qatar Media Center of the Ministry of Culture launched on Wednesday the first training courses for the year 2023, namely "Body language in speech and communication" course that will start next Sunday and run for two days at the center's headquarters. The course will feature a presentation by Al Jazeera Media Institute journalist Salem Al Jahushi. The course is the first -of-its-kind training and qualification courses to be initiated by the Media Center this year, as the center strives to remain a training platform for various media skills through providing the essential qualification and training skills for those who are willing to enter the media field. Director of the Qatar Media Center Iman Al Kaabi said that the training courses set by the center on the agenda of its activities will be miscellaneous and inclusive combining various arts of journalism, specially in the area of the new media. The course of body language in speech and communication is one of the vital courses, because it includes the fundamentals required by all media professionals, Al Kaabi pointed out. She noted that there was a huge turnout from the public to register in the first course, emphasizing that once the course was announced on various platforms of the media center, a substantial number of applications were being received which exceeded the capacity of the course, she said. In addition, Al Kaabi indicated that the priority for admission to this course and the upcoming courses will be solely dedicated to those who have registered their names, pointing out that those who have not been lucky to be accepted in the first course will have another opportunity to register in the coming courses that will be announced via various center's platforms. She added that the center has set a training and qualification plan in consultation with a host of experts and specialists in the field of media and comprises the majority of skills required by media professionals, specially the new media. She called on all those who are willing to benefit from these courses to follow up on the exclusive center's accounts through which the schedules of the upcoming courses will be announced. (QNA)
