Qatar Partakes in Meeting of Finance Ministers, Central Bank Governors, Heads of Regional Financial Institutions of MENAP

Washington, October 15 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated Saturday in the regular meeting of finance ministers, central bank governors and heads of regional financial institutions of the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MENAP) with Director-General of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva. HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari and HE Governor of the Qatar Central Bank Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani represented the State of Qatar in the meeting. During the meeting, they reviewed regional and international challenges and risks of high rates of inflation and food insecurity while stressing the importance of continuing efforts to adapt to the current financial and economic developments. The meeting, which takes place in the American capital, Washington, is part of the annual fall meetings of the two international financial institutions to discuss the most important economic developments and challenges and concludes Sunday.
