Qatar Participates in Conference of Arab Administrative Development Organization in Oman

Muscat,December 12 (QNA) - The 21st Conference of the Arab Administrative Development Organization, an affiliate of the Arab League, kicked off in the Sultanate of Oman on Monday under the theme of "Sustainability of resources in light of climate change and ways to reduce its impacts" with Qatar's participation. Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Maha Al Ruwaili represented the State of Qatar in the two-day meeting that was held in cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Labor. The conference aims to highlight the importance of building an integrated approach for development management to ensure the sustainability of resources in light of the climate changes in the Arab region, based on the foundations and principles set forth in the enforced international conventions and protocols, in addition to discussing the risks in this regard, as well as presenting and analyzing the effects of climate changes on the integrity of resources management in the Arab region. The conference was organized in the context of the continuation of the national work between the officials in the Arab governments in pursuit of sharing the expertise among the decision makers to set their feedback and expertise in keeping pace with the climate changes, and capitalizing on the methodology-based experiences, along with the national responsibility to reduce the impacts that could occasionally emerge.
