Qatar2022/ Arts Speak With Football Language Through Two Exhibitions in Katara

Doha, November 24 (QNA) - The arts in Katara Cultural Village Foundation are speaking with the language football through a wide range of exhibitions, including "First Football World Cup" exhibition and "8 Stadiums, 8 Champions One dream: Qatar 2022" Exhibition that continue attracting the tournament's masses at building 47 in the halls 1 and 2, and will run until November 28. The two exhibitions are organized within Katara events to honor FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals. The "First Football World Cup" exhibition which is organized by Katara in cooperation with the Embassy of Uruguay in the State of Qatar documents the preparations made to organize a first tournament in the world of football through constructing and equipping the Estadio Centenario stadium that witnessed first convergence in that global football feast, along with the personalities who attended that festival at that time, in addition to presenting an original picture of the poster that used to promote the world cup in which Guillermo Laborde was awarded the first prize in a contest organized by Cafu. It is kept in Estadio Centenario Football Museum. In addition, the exhibition, which includes 61 photos, presented the photos of stadiums in the first edition of the World Cup, a poster that was provided by the official Broadcasting Service to the radio listeners which came after commenting on the matches of 1930 FIFA World Cup held in Montevideo. It is also kept in Estadio Centenario Football Museum. Uruguay was granted the honor to host 1930 FIFA World Cup in recognition of its triumphs in 1924 and 1928 Summer Olympics, and the event had a major significance for the international community that was interested in sports. The inauguration of Estadio Centenario stadium coincided with the centenary of the entry into force of Uruguay's first constitution as an independent state, where the stadiums' construction went far beyond the sports scene and its was an opportunity to celebrate the homeland and demonstrate the prosperity of the people of Uruguay and the rest of the world. The picture of the exhibition was captured by the advertising and information office of Montevideo and it is part of the collection of the historical episodes of Montevideo Center of Photography during the period 1860-1990. Moreover, "8 Stadiums, 8 Champions One dream: Qatar 2022" Exhibition includes 17 unique pieces of art and 8 paintings by Lily Quintero who took football as a surface to carry out the artistic works, because football carries beautiful meanings that are more popular around the world and it is the language of communication among the peoples.
