Doha, October 15 (QNA) - Qatari daily newspapers applauded in their editorials on Saturday the integrated partnership and historical relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey, highlighting the outcome of the 8th session of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee which reflects the permanent coordination and consultation between Doha and Ankara on regional, Islamic and international issues. The Qatari dailies indicated that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan co-chaired the meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee, confirming the centrality and specificity of bilateral relations, which crossed the post-strategic integration phase into the strategic fraternity phase. For its part, Al-Raya newspaper said that Doha and Ankara share the goal and destiny in supporting Islamic issues and calling for resolving international crises through activating mediation and constructive dialogue; noting that the strategic cooperation between the two brotherly countries includes various vital fields of economy, industry, security and defense, culture, education, sports, transportation and media. HH the Amir underlined that these meetings, which have been held since 2015, enhance the relations of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, which reflects the nature of the distinguished relations that represent a model for partnership and successful bilateral projects, and have been a tool for accelerating implementation and achieving common aspirations. HH the Amir noted that the meeting of this session coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which witnessed a great development; looking forward to intensifying coordination and continuing to discover more opportunities between the two sides, Al-Raya added. The newspaper pointed out that the bilateral talks between HH the Amir and HE the Turkish President constituted a golden opportunity to consolidate the Qatari-Turkish strategic partnership aimed at achieving the interests of the two brotherly peoples in various fields. The talks discussed the close strategic relations between the two countries in various fields, especially in politics, trade, economy, investment, energy, industry, transportation, education and media, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the health and tourism sector and projects related to hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Al-Raya confirmed that the 8th session of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey resulted in the signing of the final statement of the committee's meeting and a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the governments of the two countries that push strategic relations to a higher level of integration and joint coordination at all levels, as well as the consolidation of Trade, economic and investment relations and the strengthening of cooperation in various fields, in order to ensure adding a new momentum to relations in order to reach the level of integrative partnership. In the same context, Al-Sharq newspaper confirmed in its editorial that the keenness of HH the Amir and HE the Turkish President to chair the meetings of the Supreme Committee reflects the nature of the distinguished relations between the two countries, which represent a model for successful bilateral partnership and projects, noting that two leaders made the Supreme Committee an effective tool to accelerate implementation and achieve common aspirations. The newspaper reviewed the signing ceremony of a large number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries in various fields, especially in politics, trade, economy, investment, energy, industry, transportation, education and media affairs, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the health and tourism sector and projects related to hosting the FIFA World Cup Finals Qatar 2022. These agreement represent a new addition to a significant number of past agreements that raised the level of strategic relations to the point of an integrated partnership. In conclusion, Al-Sharq emphasized that the constantly growing partnership between the two countries for 50 years since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, has gone beyond the fields of trade, economy and investment, to reach full harmony in various regional and international files, with the aim of easing tensions in more than one region around the world, supporting efforts to resolve conflicts by peaceful means, and contributing to establishing international peace and security. For its part, Qatari daily Al-Watan highlighted in its editorial the strong Qatari-Turkish relations, noting the two leaderships' keenness on deepening the bilateral relations further in all fields. The paper underlined that the outcome of the 8th session of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee will contribute to the development of the bilateral relations in a way that fulfill the aspirations of the two countries and both brotherly peoples. Al-Watan stressed the importance of the topics addressed during the 8th session of the joint strategic committee, which discussed means of bolstering and promoting the strategic cooperation between Qatar and Turkey, mainly in the fields of economy, investment and trade, as well as the cultural and humanitarian relations. Al-Watan highlighted HH the Amir's affirmation that the Committee's meetings, which have been held since 2015, strengthen the cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, which reflects the distinguished bilateral relations that represent a model of successful bilateral partnership and projects, noting that these meetings have been a tool for accelerating implementation and achieving common aspirations. HH the Amir noted that holding this session's meeting coincides with the passing of fifty years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which witnessed great development, looking forward to intensifying coordination and continuing to discover more opportunities between the two sides. Meanwhile, Qatari English newspaper "The Peninsula" said that the strategic partnership of Qatar and Turkiye is strengthening with every passing day and friendship of both the countries’ leadership and peoples is time-tested based on foundations of mutual respect. The paper said that the holding of 8th session of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee reflects the strength of bilateral ties, noting that the meeting both discussed the strong strategic relations between the two countries in various fields, especially the political field, trade, economic and investment partnership, energy, industry, transportation, education and media, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the health and tourism sector and projects related to hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The paper noted that HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, in a joint press conference with HE Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu Mevlut Cavusoglu, underlined that the two sides agreed to keep enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the economic, investment, and trade fields, in addition to enhancing cultural relations and ties between the two peoples. The paper also highlighted the statements of HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani in which he affirmed that ties between Qatar and Turkey have improved to a level of partnership, integration, and coordination in all fields. The Peninsula also noted the affirmation of Former Advisor to the Turkish President, Dr. Yasin Aktay, that Qatar is an example to be follow in settling many disputes between the different parties, resolving crises through dialogue and diplomatic means, and serving humanitarian work around the world.
