Doha, December 30 (QNA) - In their editorial on Friday, Qatari newspapers dealt with a number of local and Arab issues, as it shed light on the Scientific Excellence Award and the importance that the State of Qatar attaches to science as the basis for building nations and achieving sustainable development, affirming that the award has contributed to making excellence a strategic goal and a culture rooted in the conscience of Qatari society. In another local matter, the newspapers dealt with the impressive success of organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the fruits that Qatar reaped from years of work and careful planning to secure the tournament, events and crowd management, in addition to joint cooperation with various parties, as well as employing all capabilities and means in order to provide a safe environment for the tournament. As for the Arab issue, the newspapers focused on the Palestinian cause and the threat of the upcoming Israeli government to global peace and security in the region and the world, warning that the current indications show that Israeli society will descend with a terrible acceleration towards extremism and racism. Under the title "Scientific Excellence Award .. Encouraging Creativity and Achievement", Al-Raya newspaper highlighted in its editorial today the announcement of the Executive Committee of the Scientific Excellence Award, the names of the winners of this award in its16th edition 2023, who will be honored in early March, with a total of 64 male and female winners out of a total of 199 applicants. Al-Raya pointed out that the State of Qatar has taken a pledge to itself to honor creators and achievers in various fields, stressing its constant endeavor to localize creativity and encourage everyone to exert their maximum potential, especially in the educational, scientific and educational field. In a related context, the newspaper said that the localization of creativity and excellence in Qatar is the message of the wise leadership to the Qatari people. In its Friday editorial titled "Scientific Excellence...Pillar of Education", the newspaper stressed that Qatar emphasized its commitment to ensure equitable, diversified, and quality education for learners, regardless of their gender and abilities., pointing out that there are several initiatives that aim at encouraging and consolidating the culture of excellence in the field of education by celebrating hard-working and outstanding students. The newspaper concluded its editorial by saying that the Scientific Excellence Award is one of the pillars of the education system in Qatar and represents one of the tracks that primarily enhance creation and innovation for students of different educational levels from primary to university level. The ultimate aim is to enable students and education practitioners to deepen the concepts of excellence and innovation at all levels and fields. On the other hand, Al-Sharq newspaper said that the impressive success in organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was not a coincidence, behind the story of this historic achievement were years of planning, study, analysis and hard work in order to achieve the set goals, pointing out that the State of Qatar continues to gain more regional and international praise every day, as it was able to organize the best edition of the tournament in history. In its editorial today, titled "A Legacy for Generations and a Success Story," the newspaper said that the strategic measures and initiatives taken by Qatar with the main partners have been instrumental in organizing the safest World Cup in terms of ensuring the safety of fans and visitors, as well as players and residents. Al-Sharq indicated that the exceptional success of the Qatar World Cup was the result of plans drawn with extreme precision, which contributed to making a safe tournament for all, in light of the presence of 3 million fans, 32 teams, 8 stadiums, non-stop traffic, and expected scenarios at any moment. The newspaper stressed that the tournament has become a legacy for generations and a success story that is repeated by tongues, which is not strange for the State of Qatar, which is proud of a rich record of achievements in various fields, noting that the security success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is the culmination of a great effort by the competent authorities, thanks to its outstanding performance,for years, Qatar has been at the forefront of the countries of the Middle East and North Africa in the indicators of the state of security and peace. Under the title "Repulsive Racism", Al-Watan newspaper warned in its editorial today that the Israeli occupation forces will continue to escalate their raids and incursions into villages and towns in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. It also warned of that the threat posed by the next government of the Israeli entity to global peace and security in the region and the world. In this context, the newspaper said that as the Netanyahu government assuming responsibility, the ideas of the extreme right, which came to power due to the bias of Israeli society towards hateful racism, will be implemented, settlement will continue and escalate, and ethnic cleansing will be in full swing. The Judaization of Jerusalem will take place in broad daylight, and harming the sanctities will be the title of the extremists in this government, and at the forefront of these sanctities is the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. The newspaper stressed that the current situation under the Netanyahu government, in its current structure, requires effective action by the international community to protect the Palestinian people, adding that the world today is facing a new challenge, and the new reality forces it to take action, because the next Israeli government will threaten global peace and security, and its threat will not be limited to the countries of the region, but will affect the entire world. Al-Watan believed that the Palestinian side has to be ready, because all indications and evidences point that the Israeli society would descend with a terrible acceleration towards extremism and racism.
