Doha, January 20 (QNA) - The Qatari newspapers in their Friday editorials dealt with various issue, as it highlighted the importance of launching the Upbringing program 'Tanshia', and its role in consolidating the concept of education and protecting children from behavioral deviations, in a way that supports the State’s efforts in the advancement of the individual and society.
The newspapers also noted the remarkable growth in the tourism sector, in line with the country's development vision 2030, which aims to diversify sources of income and reduce dependence on oil and gas resources via pioneering initiatives that contribute to stimulating tourism.
The newspapers also focused their attention on the great sporting and political success achieved by Iraq through the distinguished organization of the "Gulf 25" tournament, which ended Thursday, with Iraq winning the cup.
Under the title "Integrated upbringing", Al-Watan newspaper shed light in its editorials today on the "upbringing" program, and its positive and important impact in promoting the concept of education and raising a generation capable of solving problems and changing the world for the better.
The newspaper pointed out that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani attended on Thursday morning the launching ceremony of the Upbringing program 'Tanshia' , which is organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in cooperation with the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) affiliated with Qatar Foundation.
The newspaper mentioned that during the ceremony, HE listened to presentations on the most prominent plans and upbringing programs designed to build the child's personality and provide an integrated social upbringing for the early stages of life and protect children from behavior deviations by strengthening protection factors and identifying and neutralizing risk factors.
It pointed out that the program of raising a child requires a lot of effort, energy and patience, due to the increasing requirements and pressures of life and due to the lack of reliable information and the absence of appropriate support.
Al-Watan noted that the program includes training parents and caregivers of children on best practices in the field of positive upbringing and education, in order to raise a generation of productive creators, in addition to raising educators' awareness of their emotions and feelings in a way that enhances their psychological fitness.
In turn, Al-Arab newspaper highlighted, in its editorials titled "Upbringing the Shield of Protection", the efforts made by the State, represented by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, to promote the concept of education and consolidate it in State schools through initiatives and programs that work to protect future generations from dangerous deviations in their behavior in light of the open electronic space era.
The newspaper pointed out that the presence of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani at the Ministry's launch of the "Tanishah" program, reflects the interest of the State, represented by the Ministry, in the correct upbringing of "our children" as well as the pivotal and important role of our schools in shaping the behavior and personality of our children and building their social and psychological skills, in addition to their cognitive skills.
The newspaper said added that raising children, preserving their behaviors, and protecting them from wrong behaviors such as bullying and violence is always a societal concern that disturbs families, which makes the "upbringing" program necessary in order to raise our children according to a sound and integrated social upbringing.
Al-Arab considered that the responsibility for the success of this program rests on 3 parties, the first of which is the school, which will be responsible for monitoring the behavioral manifestations of students, and the second is the family, which must cooperate with the school in order to treat their children from wrong behaviors and limit them and the third is the teacher who must be qualified to deal with the students socially.
The newspaper pointed out that the "Tanishah" program will help build the child's positive personality and promote values and legacies derived from religion.
The newspaper concluded by saying that the "upbringing" program and other plans require the concerted efforts of all relevant parties in order to reach the ideal environment for upbringing in our schools.
Under the title "Variety of Activities Reflects Tourism Leadership", Al-Raya newspaper confirmed in its editorial today that Qatar has been able to achieve remarkable growth in the tourism sector, in line with the country's development vision 2030 which aims to diversify sources of income and reduce dependence on oil and gas resources, through pioneering initiatives that have contributed to stimulating the tourism sector.
The newspaper pointed out that Qatar continues to launch the first of various tourism activities during the winter season, taking advantage of the large tourism potentials of infrastructure, various tourist places, and the existence of a safe and sustainable transportation network that reflects the enormous potential of the country.
In this context, it drew attention to what Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism revealed about the "Winter in Qatar" activities, which extend until next March, during the inauguration ceremony of the Qatar Balloon Festival in its third edition, which includes more than 50 balloons from 17 different countries until January 28 in the old port of Doha.
The newspaper stressed that the country has great potential to develop the tourism sector, which makes it a preferred destination for visitors from all countries of the world, noting that the perfect and professional organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 reflected Qatari creativity, generosity, hospitality and good reception, as Qatar stunned the world over 29 days, in which the fans enjoyed the enthusiastic atmosphere, side by side, without disturbances.
Al-Raya pointed to the keenness of the organizers of these events to consolidate the country's position on the global tourism map as a leading destination that is characterized by the authenticity of the past and the modernity of the present.
For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper reviewed the great success achieved by the "Gulf 25" tournament, which ended yesterday with Iraq winning the cup.
The newspaper said in its editorial under the title "Gulf 25", that the victory and crowning of Iraq in the Gulf Cup was not only the fourth title won by Iraq, but it was much more than that.
The newspaper said that Iraq won yesterday, twice, for the first time, for winning the Gulf 25 edition, which was a historic achievement and a moment of pride that united the Iraqi people and once again his success in hosting and organizing the tournament, where Iraq became for the first time in decades, a destination for tens of thousands of fans in a scene that greatly reflected the depth of the ties between the Gulf and Iraqis.
Al-Sharq confirmed that Iraq's success in hosting the tournament was widely praised, referring in this context to the phone call that took place yesterday evening, Thursday, between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the sisterly Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, as HH the Amir congratulated the Republic of Iraq on the occasion of its success in organizing the Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament (Gulf 25), wishing Iraq, its leadership and its brotherly people continued progress and prosperity.
Al-Sharq considered that the success of the Gulf 25 has gone beyond being a sporting occasion and achievement, it rather contributed in political and economic achievements, on top of which is the return of Iraq to confirm its Arab and Gulf presence, confirming the close fraternal relations that bind the peoples of the region and presenting a positive image of Iraq with regard to stability, and these steps will have consequences for regional stability and prosperity in the region.
