Doha, November 18 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers unanimously agreed on the high professionalism of the Country in its preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, with 48 hours remaining until the start of the World Cup, reviewing the huge equipment that the airports witnessed, in anticipation of accommodating hundreds of flights daily, and affirming that the State of Qatar has harnessed technology that supports sustainable development to develop the transportation sector in a way that reflects the process of hard work to establish a global infrastructure.
The newspapers also highlighted the security preparations that have already been completed, and the coordination, cooperation and integration of roles between the various agencies to secure the World Cup, as well as security survey procedures for the tournament stadiums via the Defense Unit Against Weapons of Mass Destruction at the Ministry of Defense, to confirm that they are free of chemical and radioactive materials, which paves the way for this version to be the safest in the world.
Al-Raya newspaper affirmed in its Friday editorial, under the title "Civil Aviation is ready for the requirements of the World Cup", that preparations for the kick off of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 completed. All national authorities have proven their readiness to receive the guests of Qatar from the World Cup fans. The transportation sector in the country bears a great responsibility towards the masses, especially since it is one of the first sectors to deal with the masses through the country's airports and ports.
The newspaper also pointed out the importance of the internal transportation sector, as it ensures the ease and flow of fans during the tournament in the places of residence of the fans and the events of the tournament, as well as access to the eight stadiums that will host the tournament matches over a month in Qatar, the capital of world sports.
Al-Raya said, the transportation sector confirms its ability to meet the requirements for holding the tournament, as it is expected that air traffic will reach more than 1,400 movements per day. Perhaps the most important thing that confirms the readiness of the transport and aviation sector is what the State of Qatar has in terms of the presence of the advanced Qatar Air Control Centre, which is the most modern and advanced in the Middle East region.
Al-Raya pointed out that the transportation and communication sector in the State of Qatar has witnessed great qualitative shifts, which came to keep pace with the comprehensive renaissance and sustainable development that the State of Qatar is experiencing, in light of the country's great strides in the field of sustainable transportation, which reflects the great ambitions in the field of transition to clean and renewable energy.
It stressed that Qatar's winning of hosting the World Cup contributed significantly to accelerating the pace of sustainable development processes taking place in the country, in line with achieving the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030, as efforts have been focused for 12 years to provide an honorable global model in all businesses, reflecting the great potential of the country in the field of hosting major sporting events.
Under the headline "Now is All", Al-Watan newspaper said in its editorial today that Qatar has left nothing to chance, since it began preparing to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which kicks off tomorrow, Sunday, noting that a large number of projects have already entered into service, in addition to the usual security equipment.
In a related context, the newspaper said that Qatar conducted security survey procedures for the championship stadiums through the Defense Unit against Weapons of Mass Destruction at the Ministry of Defense , to confirm that they are free of chemical and radioactive materials, in order to ensure the safety of the masses.
Al-Watan indicated that the tournament security committee confirmed its full readiness to secure the tournament, according to the highest international security standards, in line with the security requirements of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
Al-Watan also pointed out that all transportation and communications facilities are fully prepared, and that the health sector has proven that it is up to the responsibility by enhancing its services in a way that enables it to carry out its duties in the best manner, while putting food security at its best, in anticipation of an increase in demand during the tournament.
The newspaper concluded by saying that the final touches taking place in the country confirm that Qatar is about to present one of the most beautiful tournaments ever, and there is nothing that can be done anymore but the whistle of the referee announcing the start of the great event.
For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper relied in its editorial today, titled "World Cup Security", on the report prepared by the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Security Committee, which reflected the high level of security readiness, to ensure the security and safety of the fans and the tournament in all respects.
The newspaper drew attention to the content of the World Cup Security Committee report, which highlighted the security preparations that have already been completed, coordination, cooperation and integration of roles between the various agencies to secure the championship according to the highest standards, and in accordance with the security requirements of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
Al-Sharq affirmed that the efforts of the World Cup Security Committee stem from the message of the Ministry of the Interior to achieve security stability, noting that the championship's security strategy aims to achieve comprehensive security and rely on partnership in its comprehensive sense, at all local, regional and international levels, and coordination between the responsible authorities in the country, as well as emphasizing the importance of achieving preventive security, exchanging information in law enforcement, and a mechanism for self-assessment of gathering places and how to deal with threats.

In the same context, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula, in its editorial titled "Zeenah Initiative", said that the opening of new hotels, beaches, fan zones and exhibitions, are accelerating in different parts of the country in preparation for hosting the World Cup, and also within the framework of the country's comprehensive development vision.
The newspaper added that all infrastructure projects of Qatar World Cup 2022 will remain a legacy and wealth for the Qatari society and will serve future generations and form the basis for further progress and prosperity of the country, affirming that it is the world’s historic tournament and the biggest sporting event on the planet.
The Peninsula pointed to the cooperation of a large number of government agencies in the "Zeenah" initiative, which aims to beautify and decorate all places and sites in the country, and encourages community participation in organizing an exceptional edition of the tournament, believing in their effective role and prominent participation in celebrating Qatar and hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
