Qatar's Minister of Sport Honors Graduates of "Ladaam Youth Ambassadors"

Doha, October 24 (QNA) - HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali honored today the graduates of the second batch of the ''Ladaam Youth Ambassadors'' program during a closing ceremony held by the Ministry in Lusail multi-use hall. "Ladaam Youth Ambassadors" second batch included 27 young men and women who were selected to participate in the second edition of the program from August to October. The program targeted Qatari youth in the age group of 22 to 35 years, including many qualifying and training workshops. In this context, the Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Fawaz Al Misifari said that during the launch of the second edition of ''Ladaam Youth Ambassadors'' program, the ministry was keen on training several Qatari youths of both genders, as the program focused on empowering Qatari youth, developing their capabilities, and qualifying them to represent the State of Qatar in local and international youth forums and gatherings. Al Misifari explained that the program was aimed to comprehensively prepare and qualify Qatari youth cadres to represent the state in an honorable manner, raise the effectiveness of Qatari youth and enhance their sense of responsibility to achieve the vision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth (active and responsible youth with a patriotic sense and a sport practicing community). Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Director of ''Ladaam Youth Ambassadors'' program Khadija Al Buhaliqa, said that the closing ceremony of the program witnessed a large presence of a group of eminent personalities, including ambassadors to the state, explaining that the first and second editions of the program aimed to qualify Qatari youth of both genders to be ambassadors for their country during their participation in international forums and conferences. She pointed out that these young people were adequately prepared to reserve their seats in the United Nations and to hold permanent positions in this organization, indicating that the second version of the program included basic and other supportive partners, in addition to a logistic partner, to benefit from them to strengthen the skills of the participating youths. The Director of ''Ladaam Youth Ambassadors'' program confirmed that the ministry has been working since the first version of the program to draw up, study and amend remarks, noting that the second version witnessed a remarkable development in all fields, which will also apply to the third version of this program. The first edition of the program targeted the graduation of 30 young people to benefit from them in many events inside and outside the country, in more than 20 events and conferences, whether by direct or remote attendance.
