Quartet envoys meet Russian Deputy Foreign Minister

Moscow, Apr.18 (BNA): The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, participated with the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Russian Federation at a meeting held at the Russian Foreign Ministry with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov. During the meeting, they discussed relations of cooperation between the four countries with the Russian Federation in various fields and reviewed the political situation in the region. Mr. Bogdanov hailed the results of the Arab Summit held in Dhahran a few days ago, and commended Saudi Arabia's positions on Arab reunification and support for the Palestinian cause. He also mentioned meeting a number of Arab leaders on the sidelines of the summit and assured them of Russia's keenness to develop relations with the Arab world. The Ambassadors' meeting comes within the framework of the existing coordination between them to explain the positions of their countries to officials in the Russian Federation concerning developments in the situation in the region.
