Quuen Elizabeth Hospital 1 Introduces Drive-Thru Pharmacy

KOTA KINABALU (Sabah, Malaysia), April 26 (Bernama) -- Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1, here, has introduced its pharmacy drive-thru unit for the convenience of patients in picking up their prescription medications. Sabah Health director Dr Mohd Yusof Ibrahim said the service was started last February and received encouraging response with 50 patients having registered to use the service. "We plan to expand the service to the health clinics in Tawau, Lahad Datu, Putatan and Keningau in stages," he told reporters. He said the service was initiated to reduce waiting time at the pharmacy counter for patients at the Luyang health clinic. Patients only needed to register at the relevant clinic pharmacy before obtaining their medications at Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1, he said. The drive-thru unit opens from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, from 8am to 4.45pm. -- BERNAMA
