RCA grants US$1 million medical aid to Palestine's health sector

Ramallah - July 11 2012 (WAM) - The Palestinian Minister of Health, Dr. Hani Abdeen said that Red Crescent Authority of UAE was the first organisation who responded to the call of the Palestinian Authority in providing medicines and medical supplies worth one million dollars for the treatment of cancer, diabetic and kidney patients. He said this during a ceremony of the delivery of aid shipments from the RCA here in Ramallah. He said this humanitarian gesture could not be forgotten by the Palestinian people, who are the long time beneficiaries of UAE aid. He pointed out that UAE and its humanitarian organizations in particular the RCA's affect Palestinians through their relief as well as construction projects which have been carried out in the cities, villages and Palestinian refugee camps. He also extended thanks on behalf of Palestinian people for the leadership and people of UAE for their humanitarian role. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
