RCO attends Somalia Partnership Forum

Manama, Feb. 24 (BNA): Secretary General of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed led Bahrain's delegation to the 6th high-profile Somalia Partnership Forum which convened in Istanbul, Turkey, in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Somali President Hassan Shaikh Mahmoud, the UN Deputy Secretary General and senior officials from countries supporting Somalia. The RCO Secretary General's participation is in line with the directives of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and in coordination with the Foreign Ministry. Addressing the forum, Dr. Al Sayed conveyed the greetings of Shaikh Nasser and Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to the participants as well as their best wishes of every success to the forum. He also praised Turkey's efforts to host the humanitarian forum which aims to alleviate the suffering of the Somali people and achieve stability and peace in Somalia. He highlighted the kingdom's strategy in assisting the Somali people, asserting that the Somali crisis has always been a top priority for Bahrain leadership.
