RCO chairman patronises charity auction

Manama, Apr. 26 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO)'s Board of Trustees, the RCO has organized the Charity Auction on the sidelines of the Third Charity Art Exhibition whose revenues are allocated in favour of more than 5,000 RCO-sponsored orphans and widows. Held in association with Sovereign Art Foundation, the auction sold the works of art contributed by more than 16,000 students participating in the exhibition, in the presence of several ministers, officials and representatives of public and private institutions. The event's partners, organisers and sponsors exceeded 1,000 making the Third Charity Artistic Exhibition the biggest charity event in the Kingdom of Bahrain. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for His Majesty's kind patronage of philanthropic and humanitarian work and care for orphans, widows and the needy and the provision of dignified livelihood for them. HH Shaikh Nasser lauded the support received by RCO from the Government led by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister supported by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the exhibition's concept in reinforcing the culture of charity work in schoolchildren and students through artistic and painting contributions. This exhibitions discovers and develops artistic talents and imparts expertise on the participants and encourages them to be more creative and innovative and instills the spirit of charitable work and helping the needy. RCO's secretary-general Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed expressed sincere gratitude and appreciation to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the Honorary President of the Royal Charity Organisation for His Majesty's continuous attention and care for all orphans and widows and the provision of dignified living for all.
