Research delivery period extended

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, chairman of the board of trustees of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Award for Scientific Research in Sports has approved the recommendation of the executive office to extend the research delivery period. The deadline to hand over the participating research papers had initially been set for the end of September 2016 but has now been extended until the end of March 2017 in view of the large number of enquiries received from prospective participants. Research papers were received from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine besides other Arab countries. The award aims to achieve leadership in research that contribute to the knowledge-based community through excellent applied scientific research to boost positive trends and enrich knowledge and contribute to development of sports activities. The award aims to encourage local and Arab researchers and experts to conduct research that will develop sports activities in the Kingdom of Bahrain in particular and in the entire Arab world in general.
