Roads revamp works in Hidd industrial area inspected

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf toured Hidd Industrial Area Roads Revamp Project. The minister said that the project aims to improve infrastructure in South Hidd (Preparatory Phase), now 86% complete.  Work comprises constructing single carriageways, namely Avenue 17, Road 1730, Road 1737 and Road 1734, lighting and implementing ground pipelines for present and future use. Work commenced in March, 15, 2017, with an estimated cost of BD1,500,000. The ministry is implementing the project in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism. The project aims to develop infrastructure in South Hidd and increase safety levels in the area.
