Royal family philanthropist honoured

Manama, Mar. 22 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputised Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), to present the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa Order of the First Class to Shaikha Thajiba, the daughter of His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.  HRH Princess Sabeeka welcomed the attendees of the ceremony held today at Al-Rawdha Palace to honour Shaikha Thajiba bint Salman Al Khalifa, one of the pioneers of social and charity work in Bahrain. She praised her generous and remarkable contribution to promoting charity work and reaching out to the needy as well as supporting social, diplomatic and economic activities.  HRH Princess Sabeeka expressed appreciation of presenting on behalf of HM the King the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa Order of the First Class on Shaikha Thajiba in tribute for her dedicated efforts to serve the Bahraini community. She lauded her humanitarian qualities which emanate from her noble principles and altruism. She congratulated her on the royal honour, reiterating thanks and respect for her inspirational efforts and wishing her abundant health and continuous success.  Shaikha Thajiba expressed heartfelt thanks and respect to HM the King and HRH Princess Sabeeka, describing the honour as an incentive to exert more efforts. She recalled the philanthropic march of the royal family which turned Bahrain into an oasis of tolerance and peaceful co-existence. She wished the Bahraini women constant success in bringing about further achievements through hard and dedicated work. President of Bahrain Businesswomen Society Feryal Nass extended heartfelt congratulations to Shaikha Thajiba bint Salman Al Khalifa on the well-deserved honour in recognition of her dedicated efforts in voluntary work. She lauded the top-class honour bestowed on Shaikha Thajiba, the society’s Honorary President.  Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Suha Ibrahim Al Far expressed respect and gratitude to Shaikha Thajiba bint Salman Al Khalifa for her support, commending her dedicated efforts and inherent stances for the Bahraini people and their guests. She also thanked HRH Princess Sabeeka for the opportunity to take part in the honouring ceremony, commending the royal gesture of appreciating the efforts of Bahraini women and their dedicated work.
