Royal Relics, Royal Ashes collected on 3rd day of late King’s funeral

BANGKOK, Oct 27 (TNA) – After the royal cremation ceremony last night, His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Friday morning presided over collecting Royal Relics and Royal Ashes of his father, HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The Royal Relics and Royal Ashes were put into six decorative Royal Urns. They will be given to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, HRH Princess Chulabhorn Valayalaksana and Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya. The fourth royal procession of honour then carried the royal Reliquary Urns containing the late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's relics from the Royal Crematorium at Sanam Luang on the Rachentharayan or royal palanquin with four poles and moved to the Grand Palace. In the same prcession, the Small Royal Palanquin with Four Poles, or Rajendrayan Noi carried the Royal Ashes of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to the Grand Palace. The royal relics are placed at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall for the royal merit-making ceremony tomorrow. The Royal Ashes will be transported to be placed inside the Phra Si Rattana Chedi, the stupa at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. On Sunday, the royal relics will be transferred from Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall to be enshrined at Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace. The royal ashes will be transferred to be enshrined at the two temples namely Wat Rajabopidh and Wat Bovoranives. (TNA)
