Royal Southern Governorate visit praised

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa has expressed deep pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s recent visit to the Southern Governorate, stressing that the royal visit has had a positive impact on the local citizens. The governor lauded HM the King’s kind gesture by naming the new city which combines the Southern City’s housing projects, linking Askar, Jau, Al-Dur and their suburbs after His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa. HM the King’s kind gesture affirms the prestigious status enjoyed by HRH the Prime Minister, and tremendous efforts he has exerted for the sake of enhancing Bahrain’s progress and prosperity, which has entitled it to be a role model for development. HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali was speaking during his weekly Majlis at the Southern Governorate, attended by Deputy Interior Minister, Shaikh Talal bin Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and senior officials, members of the Legislative Branch, writers, journalists, intellectuals, media personnel, dignitaries and representatives of local Majlises. The governor expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to all the Southern Governorate’s citizens for the patriotic feelings they had expressed during HM King Hamad’s visit. He also asserted that naming the new prestigious city, the "Khalifa City" HRH Premier, is a badge of honour for all the governorate’s citizens.  He also lauded the festivities that prevailed the Southern Governorate marking Bahrain’s celebrations of the Accession and National Days, and following HM the King’s inauguration of the "Khalifa City" Project. Those present lauded HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali’s speech during HM the King’s visit, noting that he conveyed the local citizens’ loyalty and allegiance to the leadership, and highlighted the major development strides to be made by the governorate. They expressed the governorate’s pride in hosting the "Khalifa City". They also congratulated HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali on his newborns.
