Russia Donates 100,000 Euros To Quake-stricken People

Tabriz, E. Azarbaijan, Oct 14, IRNA – Head of a Russian railway company handed over 100,000 euro cash aid to the quake-stricken people in East Azarbaijan province to the provincial governor general. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of a project to electrify Tabriz-Azarshahr Railway, Vladimir Yakounin said that Russia always considers Iran a friend. He also expressed sympathy with the people affected by the earthquake. The 47-kilometer Tabriz-Azarshahr electric railway project, second electric railway in Iran, was implemented by a Russian railway company with the participation of an Iranian contractor within three years./end
