RUW recognised, recommended in three GCC countries

Manama, July 1 (BNA): The Royal University for Women (RUW) has made many strides in the field of academic excellence and university education.  The most prominent of these is the university's recognition and recommendation by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Higher Education in the State of Kuwait and Ministry of Higher Education in Sultanate of Oman. RUW’s administration expressed its pride in the achievements made at regional level in the past, starting from being the first private university in the Kingdom of Bahrain to obtain the accreditation by the Higher Education Council and ending with gaining recognition and recommendation from other countries.  These reflect RUW’s vision of becoming a regional leader in academic excellence for women and to meet international standards in order to prepare RUW graduates to become leaders who recently are engaged members of their society demonstrating initiative and life-long habits of learning and individual development.  Further, RUW received international accreditation from Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC) in UK. Dr. Mona Suri, Acting President of the Royal University for Women, said that the university has demonstrated high standards of quality and contributed in the educational process in the Kingdom of Bahrain which it is clearly shown in local and international basis, such as the cooperation ties with West Virginia University and other universities, also international events such as the RUW Women and Society 2nd Conference that was held last April, the Occupational Health Conference, workshops in various fields and the participation of RUW graduates in the labor market which implements RUW’s vision of empowering women. She added that the Royal University for Women has demonstrated its distinction and excellence through recognition and recommendation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman by saying: "All undergraduate programmes are recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also, the programmes in the college of Business and Financial Sciences are recognized by the National Bureau for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance and Ministry of Higher Education in Kuwait. Moreover, RUW is listed amongst the recommended higher education institutions by the Ministry of Higher Education in the Sultanate of Oman". It is worth mentioning that the Royal University for Women has announced earlier the opening of admission and registration for the academic year 2018/2019 for their academic programs listed in four different Colleges: College of Arts and Design, College of Business and Financial Sciences, College of Law and College of Engineering which it contains the Civil Engineering programme hosted by West Virginia University.
