Sadyr Zhaparov receives UAE Economy Minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri

Bishkek /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Thursday Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri. An exchange of views on the development of cooperation between the countries in trade, economic and investment areas took place, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said. Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested and ready to develop and strengthen relations with the UAE in all areas of bilateral cooperation, especially since there is a large untapped potential between the countries. The president expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz-Emirati Business Forum and its results will be a good basis for strengthening business relations. Also, in order to intensify trade and economic relations and strengthen business contacts, the head of state suggested considering the possibility of creating a joint development fund following the example of the Russian-Kyrgyz, Hungarian-Kyrgyz and Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Funds. The Fund is expected to be used to implement projects in the priority sectors of the country's economy. The UAE minister of economy expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and agreed that the volume of trade and economic relations between the countries has great potential. He noted that during his current visit a number of agreements on the development of trade and economic relations were reached. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri added that the Emirates will study the possibility of creating a joint development fund and consider the model of functioning of already established funds. The minister conveyed warm words of welcome from UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressing that the Emirati side is looking forward to the visit of Sadyr Zhaparov.
