SCW chief receives WHO representative

Manama, Mar. 24 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Women (SCW)'s secretary-general Hala Al Ansari received the World Health Organisation (WHO)'s representative the new director of WHO Office in Sudan, Dr. Naeema Hasan Al Qaseer. Al Ansari briefed the WHO official on the SCW action programmes, including the National Strategy for Revival of Bahraini Women, projects aimed to gauge development of quality of women's livelihood in healthcare, environmental, societal and psychological aspects. They discussed cooperation and availing from her expertise. Dr. Naeema Al Qaseer is holder of an honorary doctoral degree from Caledonian-Glasgow University since 2005 and had worked as WHO's representative in Iraq and Egypt. She is a senior consultant for the nursing and midwifery programme at the WHO Office in Geneva.
