SCW holds introductory seminar

Manama, Mar. 27 (BNA): As part of a series of awareness sessions organized by the Supreme Council of Women (SCW), the Council's General Secretariat's working team has organized an introductory seminar at the Ibn Khaldoon Community Centre to promote the Council's objectives, services and its role in implementing the National Strategic Plan for Revival of Bahraini Women in collaboration with the executive partners in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The expert on promotion and awareness programmes, Huda Salman, made a presentation in which she expounded the Council's role and efforts in empowerment of Bahraini women. She explained the Council's major accomplishments in development of national legislation and boosting the rights of Bahrain women. She cited the Council's provision of all support to women. She elaborated on the Council's services geared towards women increasing the public awareness of women's legal rights and sureties through programmes, projects and initiatives addressed to women as well as the Council's efforts in activation of the National Model for Inclusion of Women's Requirements in the Government Action Plan and consolidating the principle of equal opportunity. It is worth mentioning, the Council's General Secretariat organizes a series of introductory programmes aimed at promoting the role of the Council and its projects, plans implemented as part of the National Strategic Plan for Revival of Bahraini Women.
