SCW Secretary General receives Japanese ambassador

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Hala Al Ansari, received today Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Miyamoto Masayuki, and discussed with him cooperation between the two friendly countries regarding women-related issues. The Japanese ambassador presented an invitation to the SCW Secretary General to participate in the World Assembly for Women, which will convene in Tokyo in December with the participation of high-profile personalities from across the world to come up with visions on issues like developing societies, technological transformation, women empowerment, the role of the media and economic empowerment. Al Ansari briefed the Japanese ambassador about the kingdom’s initiatives to empower Bahraini women, pointing out the key role played by SCW in this regard. The Japanese ambassador expressed Japan’s appreciation of the advancement of Bahraini women thanks to the support of SCW under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of HM the King.
