Seasonal rainy spring season ushers in

Manama, Apr. 13 (BNA): A sudden change to unsettled weather conditions is expected to affect the kingdom and the Arabian Gulf region starting today and the next two days with chance of rainfall associated with thunder at times, likely to become fine by Saturday, according to BMD Director, Adel Al Daham. He cautioned citizens to take the necessary precaution, especially sea-farers, throughout the period from April 15 to May 15 which is the windy, rainy, thundery spring season of "sarayat" aka "maraweeh" that is the fast moving accumulative nocturnal clouds. Wind are mainly southeasterly between moderate and actively strong, high-speed wind associated with rain and dust and may change into northerly directional by Friday. Average temperatures for April are in the range of 29.1 degrees Celsius maximum and 21.5 degrees Celsius minimum. Average rainfall for this month is 10 mm.
