Security Chief chairs meeting on Gulf security exercise

Manama, Mar 21 (BNA): Public Security Chief Maj-Gen Tariq Al-Hassan today chaired the second meeting of the work team of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) joint security exercise "Arabian Gulf Security 1". The meeting is being held in Bahrain on 21-23 March 2016 as part of cooperation and coordination in exchanging information among GCC security services, and in implementation of GCC leaders to contribute to meeting challenges faced by the region. Public Security Chief said that joint tactical exercises target promoting joint GCC security action to challenge security threats. He added that they also target unifying concepts and learning about security readiness in emergency situations. The exercise is part of the activation of GCC Security Agreement to enhance skills of security personnel in dealing with various situations, including crises and emergency situations.
