SEEC meeting in Bishkek. 17 items on agenda

Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2022 / Kabar/. The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Union (SEEC) will be held todayin Bishkek under the chairmanship of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov. There are 17 items on the agenda. The most important ones are: - on the sources and mechanisms of financing industrial cooperation projects within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union; - on the course of preparation of a draft international agreement on the formation of a common gas market of the Eurasian Economic Union; - on the situation to remove obstacles in the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union; - on the start of negotiations with the United Arab Emirates on the conclusion of a free trade agreement; - on the main directions of the international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2023; - on signing the draft Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014 in terms of determining the procedure for levying indirect taxes when providing services in electronic form; - on chairmanship in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union. Based on the results of the meeting, it is planned to adopt a decision of the Supreme Council providing for the definition of the Russian Federation by the state presiding in 2023 in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) is the supreme body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The council consists of the heads of member states or heads of government of the member states (in accordance with the legislation of their state) of the Eurasian Economic Union - Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The EAEU International Economic Integration Association was established on the basis of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space, and has been operating since January 1, 2015. According to the Treaty on the EAEU, the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council considers the fundamental issues of the Union's activities, determines the strategy, directions and prospects for the development of integration and makes decisions aimed at realizing the goals of the Eurasian Economic Union.
