Shaikh Isa bin Ali directs to honour voluntary work pioneers

Manama, Aug 29 (BNA): Chairman of Bahrain Basketball Association, Honorary President of the Good Word Society, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, stressed the importance of promoting the voluntary work in the interest of the community. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali today received members of the organizing committee of the eighth Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work. Head of the organizing committee Hassan Bu-Hazza reviewed names of Arab voluntary work who have been selected in accordance with the award’s standards agreed upon with the Arab League and Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities. Mechanism for best voluntary project in Bahrain were also discussed. HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali directed to organize an award ceremony to honour voluntary work pioneers in September. He pointed out the role of the Arab League and Arab Federation for Voluntary Activities in boosting cooperation among voluntary civil organizations. He said the voluntary work contribute to creating national cadres capable of participating in the development plans. He noted the royal keenness and interest of the government, led by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for voluntary initiatives.
