Shura Chairman highlights Bahrain’s creative efforts to promote human fraternity

Manama, Feb. 3 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has affirmed that the Kingdom presents creative and noble initiatives to consolidate concepts of human fraternity and promote the values of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence among countries and peoples.
In a statement marking the International Day of Human Fraternity, which falls on February 4, he expressed pride in the lofty approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his continuous support for spreading peace and tolerance, and highlighting the role of Bahrain as a civilisational model throughout history for tolerance, respect for religions and sects, and its support for dialogue for humanity.
Al-Saleh referred to HM the King’s reform project as a milestone in building diplomatic relations based on moderation and mutual respect.
He stated that the royal initiative to establish the Isa Award for Service to Humanity and the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence aims to support humanity and motivate countries and societies to adopt similar initiatives and programmes to advance societies and contribute to the sustainable development around the world.
The chairman praised the fruitful efforts made by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in consolidating humanitarian values and principles through implementing government programmes and initiatives.
He said that the legislative branch is undertaking its duty and responsibility in enacting laws and legislation, to harmonise national legislation with all human values.
Al-Saleh pointed out that the Bahraini society has always been known for its cohesion, unity, respect, love, and tolerance as foundations that ensured the stability of society and praised the multiple roles played by the civil society organisations to consolidate the concepts of human fraternity and solidarity among society.
