Shura chairman lauds Bahraini-Canadian relations

Manama, Feb. 21 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh has lauded the outstanding efforts exerted by the Riyadh-Resident Canadian Ambassador to Bahrain, Dennis Hurak, to strengthen the Bahraini-Canadian friendship relations. While receiving the Canadian envoy here today, Al-Saleh stressed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Reform Project had contributed to advancing Bahraini women, which, he said, is reflected in their presence and participation in various fields. He voiced pride in the current level of cooperation between the two friendly countries, attained thanks to the leaderships’ keenness on enhancing them in various fields. He pointed out that the kingdom is open to all countries, and is keen on putting in place all services and facilities that attract investment and make it a favourable tourism destination. The Shura Chairman asserted that the Bahraini-Canadian relations are progressing steadily in many fields, especially education, trade and investment, noting that joint cooperation agreements have boosted bilateral ties. The Canadian ambassador lauded Bahrain’s values and principles that support tolerance and religious co-existence, which, he said, has made it an advanced model across the region.
