Shura Chairman marks International Day for Tolerance

Manama, Nov. 15 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh marked International Day for Tolerance by affirming that the royal initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has deepened the principles of tolerance, peace and human coexistence locally, regionally and internationally. The chairman said that tolerance is reflected in many royal initiatives and the latest was HM’s patronage of the Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence, and the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to Bahrain on November 3-6 at the invitation of HM the King. He praised the efforts of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in consolidating a culture of values. Al Saleh stressed the legislative branch’s keenness to support tolerance and noted that the Parliament has approved a number of laws that protect human rights. He said that Bahrain is proud of its remarkable contributions to supporting tolerance and peaceful coexistence, as a civilized society based on national unity and human harmony among all its segments. He stressed that the Kingdom has become a beacon of tolerance, harmony and coexistence for all sects and religions.
