Shura Chairman praises HRH Crown Prince's visit to USA

Manama, Sept. 18 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh praised the positive results of the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to the USA and his meetings with the US President Donald Trump and senior officials in the US administration. He praised the qualitative agreement signed in the military field which consisted in purchasing the Patriot air defence missile system which will further boost readiness of Bahrain Defence Force to defend the kingdom's sovereignty and stability. The Shura Council Chairman affirmed that such agreements will build international partnerships that serve the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples mainly amidst current regional and international challenges and the growing need for more efforts and plans to stave off threats to global stability and growth. He lauded strong and long-standing friendly relations between Bahrain and the USA and growing cooperation between both countries in many vital sectors. The Shura Council Chairman underscored the council's support to all efforts exerted by the leaderships of the two friendly countries to serve common interest, achieve regional security and stability, unify international efforts to fight all forms of terrorism and eliminate radical ideologies. The Shura Council Chairman pointed out the importance of the official visits made by HRH the Crown Prince to many countries in the world in consolidating relations between Bahrain and the rest of the world and building well-defined stances on common issues, pertaining mainly to security and stability, achieving comprehensive development and meeting peoples' aspirations.
