Shura Chairman receives Bahraini Ambassador to US; praises successes of Bahraini diplomacy

Manama, Apr. 11 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has asserted that the Bahraini diplomacy has progressed under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He indicated that during HM the King’s prosperous era, the kingdom has extended bridges of cooperation with all countries, which contributed to enhancing Bahrain’s international status, as well as its keenness to strengthen its relations with others based on the principles of peace, coexistence and mutual respect. He added that the Bahraini diplomacy reflects its national achievements and successes, noting that parliamentary diplomacy has played a crucial role in highlighting the development strategies and plans adopted by the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in addition to the tremendous efforts exerted by Team Bahrain in this regard. Al-Saleh made the statements while receiving here today the Bahraini Ambassador to the US, Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa, in the presence of First Deputy Shura Council Chairman, Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, Second Deputy Chairperson, Jameela Ali Salman, and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security at the Shura Council, Faisal Rashid Al-Nuaimi. The Shura Chairman commended the diplomatic responsibilities undertaken by Bahraini ambassadors and diplomats, landing their keenness to translate the visions and directives of the leadership to create more cooperation paths with brotherly and friendly countries into the ground. He valued highly the contributions of the Bahraini Embassy in Washington, and the dedicated efforts made by Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid to deepen the long-standing relations between Bahrain and the US. He said that the periodic reports published by the Bahraini Embassy in Washington prove the steady growth of bilateral relations across various fields, hailing the Embassy’s efforts to highlight the kingdom’s democratic process and the role played by the legislative branch in parliamentary diplomacy. Al-Saleh commended the advanced services and facilities provided by the Bahraini Embassy to the US to Bahraini citizens, in addition to its outstanding work in strengthening the economic and investment partnership between the two friendly countries. The Bahraini Ambassador to the US praised the legislative work carried out by the Shura Council, led by Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, hailing the effective and honourable participation of Shura members in international parliamentary gatherings. He lauded the Shura Council’s support for legislation and laws aimed at strengthening the kingdom’s relations with brotherly and friendly countries, affirming that he will spare no efforts in order to serve the kingdom, under HM the King’s leadership.
