Shura Chairman receives Palestinian ambassador

Manama, Jan. 4 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain, Taha Mohammed Abdul Qadir. The ambassador conveyed the greetings of Palestinian Central Council (PCC) Chairman Rawhi Fattouh. Al Saleh affirmed the Kingdom’s stance towards the Palestinian cause, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa towards the continuous endeavors for a two-state solution, and the establishment of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on their lands with East Jerusalem as its capital. The chairman highlighted Bahrain’s support towards the noble efforts and continuous steps to establish peace, spread coexistence and international tolerance, and enhance security and stability in the region. He praised the Bahraini-Palestinian relations, stressing the council's keenness to strengthen relations with the PCC. The ambassador congratulated the speaker for obtaining royal trust in the sixth legislative term. He praised the Kingdom’s progress in various fields and support of sustainable development projects under HM the King’s leadership, and Bahrain’s firm stance towards the Palestinian cause.
