Shura Chairman receives UN official

Manama, Nov. 6 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh received today Head of the Investment and Technology Promotion office at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Dr. Hashim Hussain who presented him with an invitation to attend the World Entrepreneurship Forum. He stressed the need to support scientific forums in the technological field to boost investment opportunities by backing the establishment of specialised national companies in this respect. The Shura Council Chairman lauded the role of the Investment and Technology Promotion office in holding awareness programmes to promote the sector and its development role. Dr. Hashim Hussain praised the role of the Shura Council in passing and upgrading laws regulating the investment process. He also briefed the Shura Council Chairman on UNIDO's present and future programmes, including mainly the World Entrepreneurship Forum which will convene in November, 2019.
