Shura Chairman stresses Bahrain's pioneering role in boosting humanitarian values

Manama, Apr. 4 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh has underlined Bahrain’s pioneering and exemplary role in promoting peace, coexistence and dialogue. He affirmed the humanitarian principles characterizing the civilizational approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, taking pride in the positive initiatives undertaken by the kingdom to foster tolerance and coexistence worldwide. In a statement marking the International Day of Conscience, which is observed on April 5, in response to an initiative by late His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Al Saleh pointed out Bahrain’s commitment throughout its history to the lofty humanitarian values which are reflected in the Bahraini society that has always been characterized by tolerance, coexistence and respect of the other. The Shura Council Chairman underscored Bahrain’s advanced status and achievements describing them as the result of the reform project and the remarkable efforts of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted that the national strategies and development programmes in the Kingdom of Bahrain are based on sound bases and unwavering commitment to human rights. He also underscored the kingdom’s support to all efforts aimed at boosting security and stability in the region and the whole world. The Shura Council Chairman pointed out the council’s keenness on harmonizing the national legislation with the noble humanitarian values and the royal visions on solidarity among all countries. He stressed the kingdom’s rich record of achievements that are based on the inherent humanitarian values in the Bahraini community.
