Shura Council chairman hails HM King’s order

Manama, Apr. 21(BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh lauded the order issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to reinstate the citizenship of 551 convicts whose nationality had been revoked as per court rulings, in accordance with the provisions of article 24 bis of law 58/2006 with respect to the Protection of the Community against Terrorist Acts. He paid tribute to HM the King, the guarantor of the constitutional provisions which aim to consolidate the pillar of right and justice, which represent the cornerstone of social security and stability. He underscored the importance of the royal directives which, he said, reflect Bahrain’s standing as a pioneering role that protects human rights in comprehensive scope that heeds national security. "The Bahraini nationality is a source of honour for its holder", he said, stressing the necessity for any citizen worthy of the Bahraini nationality to heed national security, peace social unity and stability.
